How to Use the AI Assistant
This guide shows you how to effectively use the AI assistant.

Ctrl + /
The AI automatically knows which case you're viewing.
Asking Questions
Type your question and press Enter. Examples:
Case summaries:
- "Summarize this case"
- "What happened yesterday on this case?"
Witness information:
- "List all witnesses"
- "Are there inconsistencies between witness statements?"
Evidence:
- "What evidence do we have?"
- "What's still at the lab?"
Next steps:
- "What should I do next?"
- "What checklist items are pending?"
Procedural guidance:
- "What are the recording requirements for this interview?"
- "When is ME notification required?"
Getting Better Answers
Be Specific
Instead of: "Help me"
Try: "What witnesses from this case haven't been interviewed yet?"
Provide Context
If asking about something general:
"For a scene with multiple victims, what's the priority order for processing?"
Ask Follow-ups
If the answer isn't complete:
- "Can you elaborate on that?"
- "What about the recording requirements specifically?"
